#418 (White) ....approx 8" L, 5" H and 2" W at the base.

Hello, all! Maybe there is someone out there who can help me

This is an email I recently sent to Kaiser Porcelain with hope that they could identify the subject. Alas! They could not. They did, however say that they had an artist by the name of Bachmann and, sometime, G. Bachmann who worked for them between the mid fifties and mid seventies. Other than that, they didn't have a clue (even though the identical figurine was made *but painted and pictured below.

Dear Tanya, tanja.wohlmuth@kaiser-porzellan.com

Thank you very much for your reply.

I am replying with more information in hopes that you (or someone in the Kaiser group) can resolve our problem in identifying the subject. If you can get this done, we will forever be indebted to you. This is extremely important to us.

Your first concern was that maybe my figurine (the subject) was not a Kaiser product. My wife and I have an extensive Kaiser collection and all have the same Kaiser logo on the bottom of each piece. I have included an attached picture of the bottom of the subject showing the Kaiser logo although it is not as clear as I would have liked it to be.

We also have Kaiser pieces of the dog breeds that you have mentioned. You have me questioning myself whether our subject piece is, indeed, a German Short Haired Pointer (we used to own a live one) so I looked
up an image of one on Google and found an image of a dog just like we once owned: and which looks like our subject piece (with the exception that our piece is white). Here it is:
For image of painted equivalent click on: Link (http)
And then click on Code NB88

Even the dog's stance is the same. I have included attached pictures of our White, Kaiser, German Short Haired Pointer #418 for your viewing.

In addition, the number 418 is molded into the underside of the base.

Also, the name, Bachmann, is etched or molded on the top of the base just in front of the dog's right, rear paw. This is somewhat peculiar because many of our Kaiser dogs have the name G. Bachmann (at least it looks like a G) in a similar position. In any case, the handwriting is identical.

We are anxiously awaiting what you can find out or who you can refer us to at Kaiser or elaewhere.

Most Sincerely,

Robert Trinka
