Scarce unused 1958 Curteich postcard of Nadir, a race horse from Claiborne Farm of Paris, Kentucky, posing with jockey Bill Hartack in the winner’s circle after the 1957 running of the Garden State horse race at Garden State Park in New Jersey. Posing in the background are (left to right) R. D. Prewitt’s Terra Firma with jockey Larry Gilligan; Foxcatcher Farms’ Rose Trellis with jockey Eric Guerin; and Wheatley Stable’s Misty Flight, with jockey Eddie Arcaro. Published for H. J. Cable of Haddon Heights, NJ, and a desirable sports or race track collectible in excellent condition.
